I came to Pace thinking I was going have a great experience living and learning in new york city. I knew the school wasn't "all that", but I thought of it as a decent-named school while it also gave me good financial aid.

No lie, within my first month here, I began filling out transfer applications. This school is a joke. Sorry if anyone thinks otherwise. I'm jealous of you if you love your school because I wish I did. Pace is known as the "airport" school where kids come here for 2 years and transfer. most students are basically here because they couldn't get into NYU or Columbia, but still want to go to school in the city.

When I chose this college, I loved the location and idea of being in NYC so much that I wasn't really thinking about the potential quality of the school. It turns out that location means NOTHING unless you really love the school. There is no campus, there is only 1 building basically. the students here don't want to learn, my first day of class, one girl was praying that the teacher didn't show up. kids don't study, professors have low expectations for their students. My criminal justice professor told us that the average midterm grade as a class was a 70, and he said it was good.

Kids come here thinking they are new york's hot shit; skipping class. Kids fall asleep in class, pathetic. clearly they don't care about being here which is really discouraging.

You may get lucky with a couple of good professors, but many treat the students as a bother. Alot of professors aren't actually professors, I have alot of "adjunct instructors".

The food is revolting. The cafeteria staff are rude and clearly hate their jobs and take it out on us.

The sandwich and wrap section of the cafeteria is completely unsanitary. I have never had a decent meal. I would go out to dinner if every night for some real food if I had the money but considering I live in NYC, I'm broke.

This school also charges way to much for what it is. This is not an Ivy League School and certainly not prestigious. I wouldn't really mind about the finances if it was actually an excellent school, but it's not. Students and professors don't care. Staff is very unhelpful. the OSA is extremely rude and unhelpful also. I just really hate being here, I get nervous and really depressed and look forward to going home. I'm transferring back to school in my hometown, not because I'm homesick, but because I can go to a better school for half the price. Don't waste your time here. And don't come here assuming you'll love it just because it's in New York City. It's in a good, famous area of manhattan, but everything closes early because its the financial district; you have to go out of your way to get to somewhere worth doing. the school just isn't worth the money or the time you spend.

I'm counting the days until the end of the semester in which I can leave this place for good.
