UNCW is a nice area, cute downtown, but basically nothing to do. If you live on campus you had better have a car, because literally all parties are off-campus since there aren't anything besides dorms on campus. the beach is fun but once it gets cold, that option's out. the academics are mediocre, only one of my professors is actually interesting. i basically have no homework. i'm from PA, and only 18% of the school is out-of-state. the in-state kids are dumber than the out-of-state kids, and the level of bigotry, racism, and closemindedness is MIND BLOWING. when obama was elected, half the campus was elated and the other half muttered racial slurs under their breath for a week. the dorms are gross, many freshmen are put into triple-occupancy rooms (in whats supposed to be a double) their first year. very laid back, a mix of preppy and hipster types. history program is lacking. overall, not a very good school.
