I have been a student as MCLA for almost two years. Everytime I agree to attend another semester here, I harbor a hope that it will get better. 4 Semesters in, and it has not. The students here are absurd. If you arent on the baseball or basketball team ( who by the way, are D3 and probably last in the league), then you have no chance of being accepted in the "cool" crowd. Your other option is to be a weirdo theatre person who has no social skills whatsoever and tries way too hard to seem "unique". Also, if you think college will be different and more accepting and more fun than high school- dont come to MCLA. Its probably smaller and more catty than any high school in the country. The parties absolutely suck. They usually end by 11, and then everyone files out and and goes to sleep. One thing i do have to say, is that my teachers could not be more helpful or available to students. Almost all of them are great. And thats the only good thing i have to say. Oh and dont think that the town of North Adams is any better- its completely worthless.
