Overall Tabor College is a very good college. It has a great Christian atmosphere and for the most part the academics are top-notch, especially in the sciences. The people on campus are generally some of the greatest people you could ever meet. The food is really good too. However, there are some bad things with the school (most all of it resource use). First of all, the dorms for underclass men (I'm not so sure about the women) are in quite poor condition. To give the school credit, they have been making improvements to the men's quad dorms. Also, the college seems more interested in building large, unnecessary things rather than spending it on more immediate needs. For example, a very expensive statue was built (cost hundreds of thousands of dollars) on campus when the money could have been better used on dorm improvements or better funding for the science department. Also, the school is building a new multi-million dollar football stadium when the athletics teams have next to no travel budget (the teams I'm on can't afford to stay in hotels when traveling to away meets). The athletics programs are generally low quality, but we're in the same boat with most of the colleges in our conference (the KCAC). Also, there are a couple of absolutely ridiculous academic requirements. First of all, there is a class called Wellness Concepts that's a complete joke except for a very big paper at the end of the year. You also have to take a physical activity class (something like Tennis, weightlifting, or jogging) even if you're a varsity athlete.

As a note: if it is put down that I would choose to go to a different university, it is because of I would want to go to a college a little closer to home. Overall I really like it here.
