The academics at PC are great. Professors are great teachers and truly dedicated to helping students learn. They are accessible, and some even give you their cell phone number and tell you to call, day or night. There are a few not-so-stellar professors, but most are wonderful. The work is fairly challenging but not overwhelming. You really do learn here.PC also offers great merit scholarships and pretty good financial aid. However, in my opinion, the other aspects of the school leave much to be desired, which is why I'm now looking at transferring. The surrounding town of Clinton is very dull and run-down. All there is to do on the weekends is go home or party at the frat houses. If that's your cup of tea, I say go for it, but I found out soon enough that it wasn't mine. Greek life dominates the campus. There is a huge divide between Greek and non-Greek students. There are a few other activities on campus, but they're not very well-funded and students are generally very apathetic about them. The typical student is white, rich, preppy, very conservative, and only concerned with going out on the weekends. There is a small group of evangelical Christians, but they are definitely in the minority. Unfortunately, there are only a few liberal and global-minded students, maybe explaining why I didn't click with these particular students. If I could do it all over again, I would have done more research and probably ended up somewhere else.
