I believe that if a student knows what they want to do going in to college, then go to a 4-year school right away. If they are up in the air on their decision, then look into a community college. Either way, you have to get your generals done and it is cheaper to go to a community college. Plus, there is one that is close to everyone's home town. The only downfall that I experienced with a community college is that it IS ONLY 2 YEARS! Then you are forced to either go find a job or start all over at a 4 year school and you have to leave all your friends that you spent 2 years making!
