As a poor, small town kid who had absolutely NO connections whatsoever, USC opened a world of doors and opportunities for me. I was able to go to the grad school of my choice (Cornell) but the funny thing was that when I finished grad school in engineering it was the USC alums who opened SEVERAL doors for me and multiple job offers. This was particularly surprising because I thought the ivy school was going to open the doors for me. I really do feel part of the "Trojan Family".
