I am not sure about some of the other comments - but I will be entering my second semester as an Accounting/Finance student and I can say Mason is a great place to go to school. The faculty in the School of Management are outstanding and they provide plenty of real world projects to complete in addition to the normal coursework. The school is undergoing a tremendous amount of development and construction - however, that has resulted in a host of new top of the line facilities including new dorms, dining facilities, gyms, work-out and recreational facilities. Mason's location also is a plus because there is an almost unlimited opportunity for internships and co-ops given all the business and companies in the NOVA area. Mason offers plenty of diversions on campus; there are plenty of bars, clubs, and restaurants in Old Fairfax city and even more easily accessible by metro in Washington DC. If you are interested and want to make sure Mason is right for you - actually visit the place and don't depend soley on the write-ups on the internet.
