Baruch really pushes you out into the business world, even when you don't have a job yet. Every day people go to Baruch, go to their classes, and go home. The only reason I was able to make friends was because I was placed into a learning community my first semester. Otherwise, trying to make REAL friends with people you have random classes with is quite difficult because everyone is too preoccupied with their own grades and part-time jobs.A lot of people you talk to will have transferred out of Baruch to go to a REAL college. The only reason I haven't done the same is because I really can't afford going elsewhere.
