Major: Undecided (This Major's Salary over time)
Classes: I love the open curriculum, but some of the classes are too focused for me. I am interested in tons of subjects, but I want a broad education, not a sporadic one.Classmates: Overwhelmingly liberal. If you are conservative, you will feel isolated, and your friends will laugh at you (or just acquaintances). Brown is not as open-minded as I was told. In fact, the viewbook Brown is an ideal that honestly, is false. Plenty of people love it here, but only if they fit the Brown mold or are just incredibly easy-going. Conservatives beware! Brown irks me to no end, especially with events like Sex Power God, which a friend of mine called "pure debauchery."Education: You can get a great one here, but don't expect the students to be as intellectual as was promised. Half of the boys in my unit literally spend hours and hours every day playing video games. Lots are just your typical partiers, which I don't mind, just not quite what I expected from Brown. I feel deceived by Brown, as for what it was going to be like. Perhaps the students are just too individually different (but still all liberal) to really describe in a coherent fashion.I am considering transferring, but if you aren't a silly conservative who chose Brown because it was an intellectual Ivy, then I bet you'll love it!
