Hello and thank you everyone for reading this comment. I currently attended the summer session program at Jacksonville University in the Summer of 08. The program was a 3 month intensive program designed to prepare incoming freshman to the Jacksonville University Program. When I arrived on campus on July 5th I had the thought of a promising college education and a faculty that would attend to every students needs. Instead I received a lackluster education and only met one promising faculty member on the whole campus. My math teacher Mrs. Heinz was a joke as well. Instead of teaching us math, she would only talk about her involvement in dog show competitions. This my friends was not something I expected while attending college. Jacksonville University was supposed to be my dream school and my chance to start a new life. Instead it opened my eyes and taught me to appreciate things more clearly. The residence life on campus is absolutely horrendous. The dorms on campus besides oak hall are falling apart and full of infestations and other problems. The network infrastructure on campus is a nightmare as well. The internet was constantly down on a daily basis and the library on campus is a joke. They charge their students ridicule amounts of money to print their work. I think if your already paying 20k a year to attend a university you should be provided with at least free printing. The dining hall services on campus are horrendous as well. There were two occasions while eating in the campus cafeteria that i was served with undercooked food. Public safety on campus is what no more than a rent a cop with a green uniform.Although the comments maybe increasingly negative. The truth does not lie. When attending the orientation session at JU make sure to ask them about their riverside program and why almost all of their students from that program transferred to other universities.
