I was a student at Menlo for 1 year. I left for San Jose State for a wide swath of reasons including: (1) Lack of Administration and Faculty qualifications (2) Poor instructional environment (3) Lack of adequate campus resources including library, Internet access, healthy on-campus food (4) Wide spread, and unabated drug use on campus by students and surprisingly the faculty as well.

Menlo College is a private school, and is accredited by WASC, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. In my opinion WASC should review Menlo periodically to determine if the school should still qualify for accredidation.

Bottom line, if you are considering Menlo College for your undergrad program, call and chat with Paula Scalia who will be the biggest Bitch to you once you're a student. Call the bookstore and just ask a few questions about the books to learn just how clueless they are. Dean Woolever will treat you like a number and alot of us suspect Dr. Tim Haight was struggling with a major drinking problem, as he appeared and sounded intoxicated during his commencement speach last year.

Also, a good percentage of the classes I needed were cancelled due to lack of enrollment, which caused delays to my college career. One of my classes only had 3 people. This is common at Menlo.
