I hated this damn place. Being an out of state student, I had zero friends to begin with, and will leave with zero friends. Its so antisocial here mainly cause its a jc where almost 85% of a graduating senior class go after high school, so the clicks are still there. Not to mention people are dressed so stylish and strange (cat ears, tails sticking out of pants, shit tons of makeup and hair gel) that it makes people seem very unapproachable. Yes, there arrogant, snobbish, and every other selfish characteristic I can think of. Although the student body is diverse, its not necessarily a good thing.

The food is also terrible, its the greasiest food that'll make u run to the salad bar. ontop of that, they actually MAKE you pay 25 cents for the plastic forks and knives, what kindof place does this?!?! the best thing to do is just to go to the subway across the street, where you'll face long lines but a decent meal.
Back to the students, my experiences with everybody has been negative. occasionally you'll be given a group project by a professor, and so many times I've not been able to get in touch with any of the students, and end up doing the work myself late into the morning hours. I've found a lack of drive to succeed with too many people here and I look forward to the day where I leave.

The counselors…THEY SUCK! They provide misleading information about the precious aspects of transferring and sometimes its too late to make changes. There lazy, and sometimes look at you as if your stupid for asking questions. RUN as fast as you can away from the welcome center and transfer center.
The professors, I've had some amazing professors here, but some were just plain terrible. Sometimes youll have a professor review the WHOLE test, saying the LETTERS that go with them, B, D, A…etc. its an easy A but what happened to studying? Frequently kids cheat, but the science classes are some of the hardest i've ever taken, like Chemistry and Astronomy. I had one professor who was 86 years old who would walk around the classroom insulting everybody, and not only that he wouldn't exactly teach the class.

And the parking, you pay like 60 bucks for a parking decal in a parking structure that is usaully filled up, even at 8 in the morning. I usaully find myself walking 7 blocks to get to class in the morning, having kicked myself for buy that stupid decal.
I've heard of kids having great experiences here, but i just dont see how. maybe if you've got the designer jeans, stunner shades, tight pants, platinum hair, and the muscles, your bound to make the most of the superficial friendships in this little superficial place called los angeles.
