Keene State College

I am undecided on how much I like Keene. I am a freshman this year and am undecided for a major, because there are not a lot of majors to chose from. The campus is beautiful and sold me on my visit. All the common buildings are virtually new and pretty retro-looking. The school offers TONS of stuff to do, and always have events going on on weekends and OK parties. The first few months are the best times of your life, but then the parties get real old. Frats and Soroities have parties, but the only "campus-accepted" frat throws pretty good, but sketchy parties at least once a week. The Soroities are a joke. They never let girls in, so none of the attractive guys go, unless they are stealing the free booze.

The town is gorgeous, but kind of lame. There are nice resteraunts, I guess, but literally nothing to do. There are two movies theaters that play real old movies. I found the academics to be pretty lame as well. It may be, because I am in all gen-ed's, but people here are NOT intelligent whatsoever. I question the SAT scores, high school GPA's and overall academic standings at their previous schools, because about 40% of students cannot define "socialism" or even "fireplace". You will see groups of 10+ girls wearing the same black north face, with the same fake tan and it is kind of sickening. But I do like the variety of people. You have the athletes (even though the sports suck here), the stoners, the bitches, the whores, the fat whores, the laid-back kids. All kinds of people. Easy to fit in, if you put yourself out there. About 60% of people have no friends, because they do not leave their dorm room. If your looking for a good time and just want to slide by, this is absolutely the school for you.
