This is not a real college. People will say, "it's what you make of it," but that's ludicrous. I transfered from Barry to UM, and would say that the experience is quite different. Barry is a "private school" by name, but it is nothing short of your basic middle school. The surrounding area is quite ghetto, and venturing off at night around campus is dangerous. Take it from me, yes you'll be in Miami with tons to do, but do not waste your money to come to this shitty school. Think about this… if you apply for a job against someone from a nationally recognized university, such as Florida State, most likely the person hiring is going to have no clue what Barry University is. Remember college is all about the experience you have while receiving an education. You will neither have a great experience here nor will you receive a good education. GO TO A REAL COLLEGE!
