Aerospace program is cheap worth it if you just want to save money instead of those other expensive trade schools like Aviation institute of maintenance. But the teaching of one of the professors/ head of department is a pain. he cant teach basically and refuses to help. The experience in the Aviation field there is limited to about one professor. You can tell who has experience and who doesn't. There is alot of people that waste time there to get out of the house. But some student actually are there to help and do work those are and you can easily find those selected few. Where the aviation department is located in Virginia at the airport where it is a pain to get parking. then after parking you have to worry about actually not getting a ticket and or towed. And if you ride the metro its like a 30 min to 35 min ride to the airport from UDC. The up keep of the Out fit is horrible. The classrooms look like udc was in a rush to move in. Then down stairs the hanger is shared by MWA, meaning udc has half a hanger. with 7 to 8 airplanes that look like people took it apart and and didn't care to put anythink back but really udc for got yo buy the rest of the airplanes. some of the equipment is good if its actually repaired by udc but the fund that are paid by the student of the aviation program is used to pay the salary of the 3rd president in 5 years and campus dorms or apartments given to the basketball players who don't win anything themselves. There is not enough equipment and professor to prepare the growing number of student for a basic knowledge of udc. When it comes to financial aid at UDC doesn't matter when you do it you will be there at least 10 to 12 times trying to explain to them that you need to sign your paper for your loans. O and when it comes down to the bill. take a good look at it udc does any thing to get an exra buck including a weird extra insurance fee on top of the one they give you that you actually have to get waved. Then the other horrific story is actually getting your classes. The aviation student aren't even considered when they actually make the classes. I have the hardest time trying to make my Schedule for classes. Then to do your own schedule the website never works. Some of the student at udc are very helpful if you want experience that is not the place. the escalator going to the university is a hastle it never works, and it takes forever to walk up it so the elevator makes it much easier. everything else is okay can be improved.
