Major: Mechanical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
I chose Clarkson University originally because I had a hate for it. Everything that I hated was there including the people, the cold, the unforgiving course loads that I was informed of, and nothing to do (including women), so all my time would be spent on work. Maybe it was my point of view but I was completely wrong about almost all of those, as I ended up finding much more than I knew what to do with, and some facilities that were extremely useful, some really cool people, and a bustling surrounding community. Most people say there isn't a lot to do, but there are three colleges within a 5 minute drive, and that means a lot of college students, and trust me not many of them are bored, a lot of Clarkson kids just don't have the audacity to leave their rooms and find stuff. There are a lot of good things about Clarkson that people say are bad that aren't, and a lot of things that are good that actually aren't that exciting (career center for example). Nevertheless, as much as some of my home friends harass me for going here I absolutely love the size, exploring the Adirondack atmosphere, and meeting some of the mentally crazy that inhabit it. Here's a rap about it on youtube:
