Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time)
I have waited a very long time to give my critique about this school. I attended this school for 3 semesters and couldn't take it anymore. I thankfully transferred out. This school is your typical, state school in every single way. No one wants to help you with anything, I know I am not the only one when I say this, that it is a very disorganized environment. Faculty is useless for the most part, and there is nothing to do for any major but study. Nothing fun is planned, the place is a COMPLETE ghost town on the weekends, no one stays around because the school plans nothing to do. A handful of basketball/football games and partys down the line is all you get. There are so many drugs, alcoholic drinks and smokers it's disgusting. Many buildings and dorms are literally falling apart. Bug infestations, leaky showers through the floors and terrible dining halls it's really a tough place to get used to. Everything is for show for the tour groups and parents to be impressed by. If you look good, you can see right through it. This school is not worth 40,000 for any out of state, go PRIVATE. I tired to be positive while I was there, but for someone who wanted to make a name for themselves, and enjoy college life it was difficult. If you are planning on commuting, or don't care about too much of a social life and love to drink and smoke this might be tolerable for you. Activities are hard to get involved in and friends are hard to make because there are real cliques. On the opposite side, there are some very good majors, anything science, pharmacy and engineering. And if you are lucky enough to have a car, if you drive 10-20 mins you are at the beach, but you can only enjoy it for 2 months, September and May. Good luck with your decision.
