Date: Jan 12 2009 Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time) I love Cottey, and I still miss it. As an 18-year-old living far from home for the first time ever it was extremely comforting to be greeted by name the second I walked in the door. At Cottey the students live in suites—several bedrooms around a common living room area, a bathroom and a kitchen. My suitemates were instant family and kept me from becoming homesick. I went back about a year ago for a reunion and I was sad when I had to leave again. There are so many great things about Cottey that I can't even think of them all, so I'll just list what comes to mind.
great food
strong sense of school community
caring, highly educated faculty
small class size
second year trip to Europe (paid for by the school—my year we went to Paris)
gorgeous campus
large endowment (students' needs and well-being never suffer because of lack of funding)
tons of opportunities to get involved
But don't take my word for it; go check it out for yourself and see if you fall in love with it like I did.
