Academically, I would highly recommend HCC. Make no mistake - it is not "thirteenth grade." While there are Professors who are almost a little too lax, most hold you up to pretty normal standards. You are treated like you are at any other college (save very challenging ones such as Yale.)However, if you are looking for a school with a sense of community, be warned that Harford is not that kind of college. The majority of the students there simply do not have the time or interest in making anyone at Harford part of their life. Go to Harford prepared to learn, not to socialize.
