I currently attend Champlain College and after reading the negative comments I can say most of them are not true. The quality of life here is amazing! The dorms are spacious and I have never had an issue getting a hot shower, and if anything breaks a quick call to maintenance will fix it. The dorms are beautiful renovated victorian houses, and the area itself is BEAUTIFUL the view of Lake Champlain is amazing.

Academics: the only bad thing about Champlain that i saw was that the classes were basically a 13th grade, didn't learn too many new things, but the teachers were easygoing and helpful and will challenge you more if you ask. They assign a lot of reading, but then explain the entire thing in class so you waste time.

Extracurriculars: there is soo much to do, student government, community service, sports, clubs for all interests, ski trips, trips to Montreal, shows with comedians and guest speakers, movie nights, theater, choral groups are just some of the options.

Social Life: Always something going on in Burlington. Two malls you can take the free bus to, a handful of clubs, some movie theaters, a lot of bands come here to play, anything you need wihtin walking distance, mall is literally 10 minutes walking distance away, beautiful surroundings, crime rate seems pretty low. There's parties going on all the time, just pick one.

the food is amazing, i had a turkey dinner with all the trimmings tonight, and there is always a desert bar with soft serve, burgers and fries, a sandwhich bar, a salad bar, and an international option every night. I know most of the cafe workers by name and they say hi to me everytime i come in! Most of the faculty here are easy to work with.

I have to transfer next year, because i switched my major to Nursing (not available here and i will be so sad to go) oh, and freshmen, you should sign up for Summit Hall or McDonald if you want to have fun! Bader, Bankus, and Cushing are TERRIBLE. good luck! ^_^
