Major: Sociology (This Major's Salary over time)
This is my first semester at this university. This school has quite a few advantages. First of all, it's a small university with less than 3,000 student. So you can actually get that one-on-one attention from the professors. This school sort of feels like a private institute. The campus is pretty safe and most of the students and faculty are approachable. This college is also very affordable. You can really stretch your wallet at this school. On the other hand, there are some disadvantages. The college is located in a small town setting (Americus, GA), which means that there is little social events. You can about 40 mins. to surrounding towns if you're looking more sociable activities. However, Alanta is about 2 hrs north of this town. Also, parking is scarce so if you want to get a good parking spot, you have to arrive to class about 15 mins earlier. There is no football team so basketball and soccer are the main sporting events. If you're looking for a small private-like school then this is the place for you. This is not a party school so be prepared to work and learn.
