Yes! I did it and now if I can just run out the door.
However, the realization of paying for outstanding student loans helped me accomplish my goal to get a job with Garza, Preiss and Co CPAs as my first step to my career. OLLU stresses to be a well-rounded individual and being a part of the Accounting Club and SGA helped me deal with public relations and the relations within office politics especially in the health care industry. OLLU did cultivate me to be a leader and follower. Also, I made the most of my education and if I had to do it all over again, I would choose OLLU. Even today, I still remain in contact with those who graduated with me, or befriended me during my time at OLLU. Those friends have helped shaped my career (networking does wonders) and in return, I helped them when they needed assistance. Also, I do donate yearly to OLLU and was down-hearted when the fire broke out last year. I know they will rebuild and I am willing to help with that since OLLU has been a great influence on my life. Currently, live in Lubbock (home of TTU) and to tell you the truth, I value and cherish what I learned at OLLU. My husband is a graduate of TTU and they (Alumni Assoc) is very persistant in trying to get you to donate (e.g. wanting to donate $50 and they demand not ask for $200). Also, basically, you can buy your way in the Alumni Association since they (TTU) are always asking for donations and breaking ground for new buildings. As least our Alumni Association is not that aggressive, but if you are willing to help out and pay it forward, then please donate. OLLU Alumni Association will appreciate any monetary donation you are willing contribute.
