This school is filled with a lot of wannabes. Mediocre artists, musicians, athletes and scholars. Many students still act like they are in high school. Socially, if you're not on a sports team, you better make friends with some jocks because they have the most reliable party scene, except for the creepy frats. However, the sports teams can be very cliquey. The bars are fun, so bring an I.D. that would work. people to drugs and alcohol just as much as anywhere else, but its possible to have a fun weekend out without doing that stuff either.

Academically, as an honors program student I choose hard classes that are challenging and interesting. However, many freshman get away with doing barely any work because they choose the easiet classes to cover their Gen Education Credits. Its really up to you what you get out of classes here.

My classes are pretty small, my biggest last semester was 16 people, and this semester about 40. All my professors from last semster know me by name and really took time to get to me and my strengths.

Lots of jobs available on campus doing any types of work.

The food is okay, Hasbrouck Dining Hall requires creativity, because there is NO variety in what they make there, everyweek it is the same menu. The SUB is a little better than fast food, however the gym is big and really new so working out isnt a problem. lots of fun group fitness classes too.

The Town is cute and very unique.

Im planning on studying abroad next year and then transferring for junior year to a better communications program in a city that can actually get me a valuable internship. Im glad I came here because I was able to figure out what i really want to study, finish my spanish minor, and study abroad at a reasonable price. Plus i love the people here and made some great friends along the way.
