I am a Sophomore at Mary Baldwin College and I
believe the school has been misrepresented. First of all This
is a woman's college and being as such we do
have some rules on whether or not guests are permitted!
We are first and foremost an academic school! If you
want guys around you should have gone to a co-ed
school! Mary Baldwin has rules as any college does and
if you screw up, like trashing your bathroom you will
be given restrictions! I would like to also say that
if you don't leave your room and actually try to
make friends you will not. That's a fact of life
not Mary Baldwins fault! I love Mary Baldwin because it's
academics and the faculty are great! The social atmosphere is
just like any other and yes we do have cliques
name one school that doesn't! And we can have visitors
however as a freshman there are stricter rules enforced especially
if grades drop by second semester. You may have whom
ever you would like spend the night with you as
long as it's on a visitation weekend. If by
second semester the hall has a good GPA you have
unlimited weekends. Mary Baldwin is a great college to
attend but please be aware that if you don't try
you won't succeed, and that is relevant any where.
