Major: Civil Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
U of L's Speed School of Engineering is by far, out of what I have heard from other transfers like myself, and those who I know at other schools, is by far one of the most challenging engineering schools. I know people from places like Purdue and University of Kentucky that say they can't even hold a candle to the standards U of L upholds. 1 TEST AND 1 QUIZ in Calculus 1-3 alone once a week on top of everything else. It is very fast paced, and they accomodate for a curve, which in some cases is reasonable and in others its just plain ridiculous, like in the Physics department. The faculty I have come in contact with in Speed School are extremely helpful and friendly, though some in the Arts and Sciences Department I cannot exactly say the same. But, all in all on a scale from 1-10, U of L's Speed School of Engineering would probably be about 7.5-8.2, depending on who you talk to.
