Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
I have to say that after reading the reviews here I was scared of going to Stony Brook. But college is what you make of it. So far I love it here! Im happy with my dorm and my progress in the classes. The thing I like about some classes is that they don't count attendance or participation and everything is given online. So I can get some sleep one day if I decide to miss class. But not all classes are like this, some are very competitive and do not curve. So you can say there is balance depending on your major.
I recommend that if you are accepted as an EOP student you should definitely come to Stony Brook because you get to make friends before all the other freshman. Which is why I am very happy with my social life here in Stony Brook.
