I live an hour and 45 minutes away from the University of Akron. I was accepted in to other schools such as Maline, OU and OSU. Starting with the negative night safety. Just being responsible and don't walk alone. My first year at the University I lived on campus, which was a great experience. My second and as I continue my education I am living in a off campus in a apartment, but it is only a 3 minute walk. I feel safe at my apartment. The campus provides a campus patrol to walk you off campus. If you want to make the best of your college experience GET INVOLVED! There are so many great programs offered at the University of Akron such as the AKRowdys and Campus Focus. Plus, campus jobs which pay well. Remember also that the communication program, engineering program and nursing rank high in the nation. The campus is beautiful and I love attending The University of Akron.
