Major: Economics (This Major's Salary over time)
This has turned out to be an excellent school with exactly the right balance between academic rigour and fun. Student body is intelligent, friendly and very engaged in academics, sports and all kinds of clubs/activities. Classmates are motivated and highly ambitious with some notable exceptions. Faculty is mostly impressive and what is nice is their obvious interest in mentoring undergraduates. I have visited all the UCs and this one has the best campus and overall ambiance in my opinion. I must admit I was worried (and also excited) about party reputation but this is very much a question of choice and not at all a dominant feature of life here.
