Knox is not your typical college. It is far beyond any ordinary higher education institution. It goes without saying that the caliber of the academic curriculum more than prepares you for life, work, and grad school. But the point of the type of education that Knox offers has more to do with developing your own opinions and thinking for yourself. Anyone can recite what they have read in books but not everyone can have a well thought out debate about such theories and opinions. As a student, I had many personal difficulties and at any other school they would have let me go by the wayside with the schuffle, but Knox and the faculty and staff there really want you to succeed and flourish. I could always go to a professor or my advisor, and even the dean if need be. Plus, the friendships I made there were strong and long-lasting and I still keep in touch with the people I meet as a freshman. Knox College truly is a college that changes lives.
