I would highly advise students of any origin to consider Boise State as a fall back school or some sort of last resort. The campus layout is vexing, being set up in a straight line along the river causes problems with getting to class almost everyday.90 percent of students that attend Boise State drive to campus everyday, and yet the university still undermines student parking at every turn. This school is more solidly focused on sports than any kind of academic department, and this aspect of the university is easyly noticed by the way they frequently close all the parking lots to room for sporting events. It makes me irrate to have to deal with the incompetence of the parking services.Among other negative aspects of this school, the gym is always crowded, the bathrooms always smell of horrible smells, the student union building is inadequate, the dorm halls are disgusting, and the administration is riding such a high on their football success.Do not support this institution. However the aesthetics are wonderful, and the disc golf course in the adjacent parks are awesome. however those two positive aspects DO NOT make a university.
