Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
I am almost completed my first year at Alma, and I truely believe that this is one of the best Liberal Arts colleges in Michigan. Though the school might not be the best at every major, I believe that it holds a major strength in Sciences. The professors are VERY helpful and are willing to put in extra time to assist students in coursework or understanding the material. I have even had professors give their classes their cell phone number, and have called them at 10:30pm and they are totally open to helping out, even during their time off campus. The professors, staff and college really care about the students. The city of Alma might not be that exciting, but it is the same as all small towns, not much happens…which also means that the campus is very safe. Classes are interactive…not always straight lecture (though some are) allowing students to start discussions, voice their thoughts and receive feedback.
