This school is hard to describe other than that you feel like you're in purgatory. As a student right out of high school I felt like I would be on a new level, when really it was what I had left. In terms of teachers, it's a crap shoot. Since this is a community college you'll find some great teachers that teach what they come across in their professions, while others really has no place in a classroom. Classes can be challenging but for the most part easy. They have some basic athletics, but I don't think anyone really cares. This is a great school if you don't know what you want to do and need to save money, but if you do know what you want, stay away from here. Some good advice would be to know what college you're going to transfer to and make sure every credit you take will transfer. Careful with the counselors, as they will direct you to classes that really get you nowhere. I would advise talking directly to your anticipated college counselors and figuring out your future. A big support to this places "high school" feel is how some teachers with do attendance and will lower your grade with so many absences. It's nice that they care… but when you're trying to juggle around a job and life itself, it's a little tough and unnecessary. Bottom Line-Pros: saves moneyCons: boring, feels like it's high school.
