As an '08 graduate I have nothing but great stories to tell from my time at Fairfield. I remember first visiting as part of my hs "College Tour", and at first glance I wasn't too thrilled (I must note, it was raining), but after a few visits, and a trip to Fairfield beach, I was sold. For perspective students, I know the homogenity of Fairfield can be a deterant. Let me offer my opinion: Never in my life have I gotten to know people in such depth, what they stand for and care about, than at Fairfield. For the most part everyone looks the same, attractive, well dressed (uniform),and because of this there is very little physical judgement or intimidation; in a sense everyone is on the same level. Students are extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to open the door to you for a party. There are a few rights of passage at fairfield, one of the best as a freshman is the fact that you never have to pay to get into a party, you must remember this when you become a senior and have to pay for the kegs. (Comes back to bite your wallet in the ass, but its well worth it, your genouosity won't be forgotten by your guests!)Words of Advise: Use the library, huge social scene, especially on Sunday nights. Study abroad, if you don't you'll regret it. Live at the beach, even if it means picking up a part time job to pay for it. Go to the grape as many times as you possibly can.Everyday I miss Fairfield more and more, if your lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend, don't pass it up.
