Almost all of the faculty are full time and REALLY care about the success of the students. Some students choose to slide a bit, but if you want to learn, there are so may ways the faculty will help you—including finding research positions in the summer and working with you one on one on research projects. Graduates go to well known graduate programs AND graduate from them, so Coe must be giving the good foundation it feels like it is giving.
