Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I was reluctant to visiting UNH in the summer of 2007 when I started searching schools but once I stepped foot on campus, I knew UNH was the perfect fit.

I am a dual major in Marketing and Sports Management and both advisors for my majors are easy to talk to and willing to answer my questions. At UNH I am not just a random name on the roll call, I am a face to my professors. My Marketing advisor knows exactly what plans I have for my four years here and whenever he sees me I always get a warm hello. As for my Sports Management advisor, I have never met a more interesting and intellectual individual. He asks you questions you would never think of before and he opens your mind to make you think outside the box.

As for being tripled my first year, I love it. At first the adjustment was hard but it became a great experience. I live in Bixler, the corridor style residence hall, and I share a bathroom with 30 other girls and I never wait to use the bathroom or to take a shower. It was much easier to make friends because there were more people around. I am friends with a bunch of different people.

Joining clubs is key. Meeting people and putting yourself out there is the most important part of the college experience. Out on campus activity programing group SCOPE invites some of the greatest entertainment to the university. We get hypnotists, comedians, bands and trips to Six Flags, bowling, Bronx Zoo, even a show in the Lewis Black Comedy Tour. Students are choosing the programs so they are going to pick programs that are fun!

As for Downtown New Haven, if you are into clubbing and going to bars, you will have the best time. But there is much more to do then just get shit faced. Yale has some of the greatest shopping and restaurants. You can go see your favorite bands perform at Toads Place. There is always something to do around UNH and when they give you the free CT Transit pass, you can get to the mall and anywhere up and down Boston Post Road, the beach and even downtown New Haven.

For every bad review you hear, it is probably someone on campus who doesn't want to grow up. College is about exploring EVERYTHING. Enrolling in classes for your electives that don't have to do with your major is probably a really good idea because it makes you a more well rounded person. Joining clubs that you would automatically rule out may teach you more then you thought. Taking the bus downtown and just walking around and trying new things. College is what you make it and UNH is everything I hoped for and more.
