This school is what you make it. I only went here trying to save money because I would have to work for my own college experience. I've completed my first year with a 4.0 and it wasn't hard at all. I do realize that I have lost out on the average "college experience" by choosing to come here. OHC does have some AWESOME teachers who trully do love their job and do all they can to try and help you along with helping you find the next institution you will attend. Prof. Ellens/Manuels is by far the best. She challenges you to the point where only the best in you comes out. Shes very friendly and can relate to most of her students. Class sizes are very very small compared to other univesities. They usually start at about 30 students but by the end of the semester its down to 15-20 because of drop-outs/failure. The college advisors here are horrid. They usually don't know what they are talking about and can screw your academic life up if you don't keep with with requirements and schedules. Always go to a few to get the correct answer and go from there. The student body is very small and is not very social. Majority is made of single mothers from ages 18-30, older students ages 40-60, and a very small percentage of recent high school graduates. Theres never any parties that are worth attending and little to no social clubs. School is close to the Downtown area which makes up for the horrid school social life. Making friends is hard because most students don't attend class to make new friends. Most go with a mentality of "get in and get out". I would not recommend this school but if you are in a situation similar to mine, just make the best of it and find your spot that will make the experience shorter and smoother.
