Well, the campus has got that california vibe to it. They have a really beautiful fountain and a new social sciences building right next to it, which is neat because i overlook the scenery in my psych 1 class on the second floor. The quality of instruction is above mediocre, you'll definitely learn the material in a way that is not cut-and-dry, the teachers/professors really try to put on a show for the students at SMC… Everything about this school is great except for one thing. I don't know if it's just me, but people seemed closed off and tend to stick to the people they know i.e. the blacks stick with the blacks, the asians with the asians, the iranians with the iranians, the whites with whites, the latinos with latinos. You do have your occasional multiracial group hanging out and usually that's because they're into pokemon or skate… The whole multiracial/multicultural group is great here, but it serves as a barrier sometimes because it's hard to find people you have something in common with when everyone is so different… I don't know maybe i'm still stuck in high school, but I'm trying. I guess, if you really want to make friends here it's going to be all up to you. That means you're going to have to talk to random peopleduring lunch or class or whenever you see a cute girl/guy you like…so, overall i rate this school a B+ because of the lack of socializing going on this school between everybody.
