OCC was a different school in 1953-1955. I arrived there
after 4 years in the Marine Corps, without a high
school diploma and ultimately got my BS degree in mathematics
( Thanks, Mr. Charles Lewis ) and my MS and
PhD degrees in electrical engineering. My transfer to a 4-year
university was a pleasant surprise, because I was academically well
ahead of my classmates.
