First I have to say that I am very happy with my experience so far at UNLV!! I am apart of the College of Fine Arts as a dance major. Our classes are pretty small which allows for good individual attention (in fact, I have never had any class at UNLV that was over 35 students). They also really prepare us for graduation. We travel as a department, which gives us experience and information for our resumes. Also, our professors have countless connections with people outside of UNLV; so, once we graduate, we have a bit of an advantage. Also, guest artists are brought in every semester which allows us to network and make connections of our own.

I am really not sure why there are so many negative comments on this site. It seems as if these students have just given up on their college experience. The college experience is what you make it. I have liked most of the professors I have had. Even if one was not my favorite, I made the best of it and was still able to learn something from the class, and it has ultimately prepared me for the world. There are over 200 clubs and organizations on campus so it is really easy to find students who have the same interests as you do.

One of the highlights of the school year for me are our basketball games. They are so much fun! Our team is really good and our students really get into the games. There is always someone to go with and everyone is excited to be there.
