USM is a fantastic school. The faculty can be very unhelpful at times but the course work is underrated. Social life at USM is not for everyone, you need to be willing to put effort into meeting people, which isn't that hard it's more just a matter of participating in some campus activities. The average student at USM is not on the four year plan and will be over 24 when he/she graduates. Overall, so far I have loved my experience at the school, despite the fact that the faculty can be very frustrating. The people I have met are welcoming and friendly and I would not trade them for anything. Greek life is a small but close community filled with a lot of really wonderful people.
