Syracuse is definitely a school you have to get used to before liking. If you're from Long Island, you'll fit right in. If not, it'll take a while to sort through everyone to find the right people. Greek life is pretty big on campus, but you don't have to be a part of it to make friends and have fun. Sports are huge, but again you don't have to be involved. There is a LOT of Orange pride, but it's not annoying - it's fun, even for me (not a huge sports fan). Most people who come to Syracuse love it after their first year.
