Hey did you like it at Boise because that's where I really want to go |
Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I had a great time at Boise State. The college of business is excellent, with small class sizes and professors that push you hard. A lot of the work is team based, which is one of the best parts of studying under the college of business. Unfortunately, you do run into some slackers; however, you also learn how to deal with these people in the real world. I was involved with several real work projects throughout my undergraduate career and found it very beneficial. I hear this tradition has only gotten stronger, which is awesome! Most professors are open to helping you out in person. The few people who get involved with clubs see a much better experience and have better relations with most professors. The math department is not so great, but I hear they are working on that. If you are an out of state transfer student don't believe admissions when they say all your credits will transfer fine, they won't. I spent an extra two years here taking classes I already took at junior college.Only real warning I have for others is that the school really is a non-traditional commuter school. Half the class will be over 30 year old and often tired from working full time. This does tend to cause problems with group work and the effort they put out. About 90% of them are horrible to work with on teams for this reason. I would recommend steering away from the lazy ones if possible. The professors are well aware that this happens. Often times the professors know exactly who the problem groups members are before you do, so talk with your professor when this comes up.
