SBU was a wonderful Christian college experience. The top benefits to me were the character building and quality of relationships in terms of friends and professors. I've went on other Christian schools (none of which were as true to the faith as SBU) and have done doctoral level work at top ranked state schools. By far and large the best take-aways from SBU was a college experience that was true to my Christian faith. (Some Christian schools are really "c"hristian in names only). I can honestly say the quality and caliber of people you will find at SBU are top notch. I'm coming up on the 20 year mark since graduation. If my daughter wanted to go to SBU to find a mate, develop her character and gain an education, I'm all for it.
