SFSU. I went to this school to live in San Francisco. San Francisco is a great city to live in if you want adventure during college. There is not a day that will go by in this city that you won't be entertained-whether good or bad.You need to open minded to enjoy it. A lot of the students here that don't like are from Southern California and they struggle with the weather. Yes, San Francisco has fog don't go here if you need sun 365. However, when it's nice it's sooooo beautiful. The school is in the outskirts in SF. Close to Daly City. You will not be in the deep city if you live on campus. However, you can ride MUNI anywhere anytime all over the city-it's a 15-20 ride to downtown. The area that the school is in is pretty lame for SF-kind of suburban but it is safe and nice. Another thing-the school is not a party school but SF is a party city. I am very glad that I chose to go here once I turned 21 because SF has great nightlife. Until you are 21, you spend your time going to festivals and concerts which are pretty fun. Living in San Francisco has been a great experience.

The school specifically-

Not a center of prestige but you will earn a degree that will be just the same as SJSU or SDSU and you will get a job. You will learn many things for sure.

The school isn't a WOW or anything, it's a commuter school but I've made plenty of friends you just have to get involved or find a cool job.The school definitely needs more money, but it serves the purpose of cheap education. Definitely not Stanford or Berkeley. The buildings could use some work for sure.

The students are pretty normal with some exceptions.I have also seen some interesting figures. If you like to people watch SF is the place for you. Budget cuts have ruined the CSU system but if you're like me, you depend on the cheap education. Very hard to get classes these days! On the plus side if you get a good GPA at the school you could get into Berkeley grad school or any UC really. Go to this school to experience SF-make it worth it and go out and explore.I would rate the school as average but the city as great.I went to SJSU for two years and I think the teachers were comparable.
