Date: Sep 22 2009 Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time) I received an MS in Management Information Systems from the School of Computer and Information Sciences in 2005. I would sumarize by saying it "is what it is". It is ranked as a tier 4 school so little more needs to be said. It is not an Ivy League degree that will open doors for you. The faculty was friendly, helpful, and well meaning for the most part but too many of the faculty were adjuncts that graduated from Nova. Even though one or two of these Professors were stellar this is one reason the school is ranked as a dismal tier 4 on the totem poll. The other factor is the admission standards are very low. Virtually anyone can get in. Some of the students are very bright and capable, others are not college material. The disparity of the students makes it very difficult for the Professors to teach at the appropriate level and creates a nightmare in classes with group projects. Overall I enjoyed my experience there but the degree is simply a nice extra to add to your resume. Until the school reaches the tier 2 level it will never open doors for you.
