Both faculty and students are very liberal, if you like closeminded people and "green" talk all the time then this is the place for you. Neither are open to other views which will show in your grades on essays.

During a republican student event, other students shouted down the student speakers and threw lots of junk at them, yet they love the liberal democrat student organization speaking and there were no incidents. this just shows the intolerance of the students at Portland State.

There are many other universities that are better in both areas. the class rooms are like old middle school rooms, I guess that makes sense because all the building are former city schools. grade, middle and high schools.

Apartments and dorms are old and run down, crazy rules and limits placed on residents that pay on average 1000.00 per month for this housing.
