This is THE Great Books school i.e 4 years of studying the great books of Western Civ primarily in discussion based seminars. 2 years of Greek 2 of French, science, math, music again primarily through seminal texts: Euclid, Plato Newton, Einstein, Mozart… The school prepares you to think, but also there can be a tendency for bs although that improves as you go through the program. Grades are hidden; students are evaluated orally by their tutors. There are 450 students on each of 2 campuses so you get to know everyone, but the social pool is minute. You come here to be generalists, for liberal arts in the classical understanding so be very sure this is what you want. Definitely visit and sit in on classes to get the flavor.
