Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
TCNJ has been a great university so far. It was my number one choice and has lived up to my expectations. The campus is beautiful and there are always improvements being done. Due to its small size, it's easy to navigate and get around. It is surrounded by two lakes and a which is good for jogging or running. I haven't been here too long, however most of the professors seem very knowledgeable about what they teach and their subject area. Most professors are friendly, however they all take their classes seriously and you will be expected to work hard. Most of my classes this semester require attendance. The college also assigns you advisers who are very helpful with your class schedule and in advising you. I have found so far that TCNJ does care about its students and you will not get 'lost in the crowd'-if you ask for help or need to change something to better your education, you will usually receive it. There are parties here but there are also many social events and opportunities for those who do not like the night life. People tend to stay here most weekends. There's almost always something going on, and there are many clubs and sports available to join. If you make an effort, it's easy to get involved in extracurricular activities. The food, however, needs some work. It takes a bit of selection to find the good options. The food also gets tiring after awhile. The good thing is that there's 3-4 different places to eat so you can almost always find a choice. Freshmen housing isn't the greatest but as you move up in the college there are apartments, townhouses and up-scale dorms. Still, it's livable and you get the 'freshmen experience.' Overall while it has its flaws I really love TCNJ. If you want a small, competitive school with a great dedication to its students, go here.
