Let me just first start off saying that I came here strictly for athletics(lacrosse), which was a terrible mistake. The coach is arrogant and snooty and believes he is gods gift to coaching men's lacrosse(FALSE), he will sucker you in with false hope for starting and free apparel which are all the wrong reasons to commit. If you are looking to play a sport strongly advise you to look else where such as Division 1 where you can reap the benefits and reach your maximum potential as an athlete as they will have the resources for you to become the best you can be. As for other things around CNU, the party scene is ok as long as you know an upperclassman with off campus housing, other wise they keep the parties small and more then often are broken up by the CNU police whom are often on a power trip and have no problem breathalyzing you which is ridiculous, I havee been to other schools and have been able to walk around campus and the football game while holding a drink without consequence. Overall the academic side off the school is highly regarded in my opinion, the professors are extremely friendly and all speak English. They are extremely willing to help the students succeed and will go out of there way to do so. The course work is very manageable and fair as long as some studying occurs. The David Student Union is nice as well and has a conservative look it houses one of the universities dining halls, regattas. The food is ok for the most part. As goes for the residence halls the dorms are very nice compared to other schools and are fairly safe. Bathrooms are shared with your suite mates, so its about 4 or 5 to a bathroom but downside is it is not cleaned by the janitorial staff. The residential advisers are terrible and are comparable to the Nazi regime, they have hall walks at night every 2 hours and will write you up for some bs things, such as loud music, etc,etc etc. They are not willing to work with any residents as they are only concerned with writing the infraction. Drinking in the dorms is also prohibited, you can try any way maybe you will get away with once or twice but eventually will get caught the RA's can walk in your room for no reason at all and bust you, as well as if you walk in drunk from a party you can be written up which is a load of crap because they are not and do possess any power of policing.
